June 28th: The local roads

I took Squirrel for a little car ride tonight, and I was amazed that all of the local roads are just dirt roads, most of them with big pot-holes, like these:

When I told Squirrel I was surprised that all the roads were just made from dirt, he asked what I expected them to be made from. I told him I thought they should be paved, and he asked what a "paved road" was. Wow, I guess we really do come from different worlds.
